SUMMARY:Southern Africa 2024 Regional ECDE Conference
DESCRIPTION:The government of Lesotho\, through the Ministry of Education and training and its Co-hosts UNICEF Lesotho and Network of Early Childhood Development of Lesotho (NECDOL)\, will be hosting the Southern Africa 2024 ECDE in Maseru\, Lesotho. \nThe conference theme is “Beyond bricks and mortar: Investing in our most valuable asset-building blocks for the future” and the overall goal of the conference is for governments\, private sector\, funding agencies and civil society to commit\, adopt mechanisms and support to ECDE in the Southern African region.

SUMMARY:Lesotho: A model for sustained early childhood care development
DESCRIPTION:The Ministry of Education and Training – Lesotho\, and its co-hosts Roger Federer Foundation\, UNICEF Lesotho and Network of Early Childhood Development of Lesotho (NECDOL) together with other ECCD stakeholders will celebrate Lesotho’s progress in early childhood care and development (ECCD). The School Readiness Initiative (SRI) evaluation results will be shared\, the new strategy of the Federer Foundation will be launched for the first time in Lesotho and we will also be celebrating\nthe scaling up of SRI through the GPE Multiplier grant\, with UNICEF as the grant agent
